There is a nice more upscale restaurant that offers a 10% coupon on a website. The entrees are about $30 a person. Would you be embarrassed to use the coupon if you went to this restaurant?
No. The restaurant offers the coupon so people will give them a try. If you do go and use the coupon please make sure you tip on the initial amount not the discounted part. Your waitress will thank you.
No, I’ve done it plenty of times. If it’s a really steep discount (something like 50% off one meal) I may base the tip on the original price, or order dessert or something extra.
No way the restaurants give away coupons to hopefully lure in customers, if you come in with one of their coupons then they will know the idea is working and will therefore continue to give away coupons in the future.
I wouldn’t use it on a date( other than with your husband/wife) but if you are with family members or friends I say why not. Just remember that you are suppose to tip based on how much the bill was before the discount was taken off.
No, I would not be embarrassed to use a coupon. Many of the “Entertainment” coupon books have coupons for “upscale” places. I am sure if they published a coupon, then they expect customers to use them.

No. If the restaurant offers the coupon, it is certainly acceptable to use it.
