restaurant offers that require you to dine in?

restaurant coupon
Thomas V asked:

Often times a restaurant coupon will write on the offer that it is for dine in only. What difference does it make to them if I eat my food there or take it home? The reasons I can see are that they want you to buy a drink or to have someone else with you to buy another meal. Why do some restaurant offers say it is only for dine in and if I tried to give the coupon to go would they still accept the coupon?

No, they would not accept the coupon. The reasons you stated are the exact reasons why they require that you dine in. Its probably a really good coupon and they want to make back some of their money that way.

Pizza places have coupons that require you to pick up instead of getting delivery. Restaurants that require your bill to be a certain amount before you can use the coupon. Most coupons have some kind of requirements. I would respect those. You are already going to get a good deal.

This gives them the chance to sell you something else.
