i am filling out an application for outback steakhouse and they asked why am i applying for a server position for them and and i don’t know what to say plz help me its my first time working in a restauraunt like this.
Tell them that you want to serve at a restaurant that serves quality food and has a reputation for good service, and that you really enjoy doing nice things for people so serving would be a great way to relate to people and make good money at the same time.
All of Outbacks food is fresh, nothing is ever frozen there, so they take alot of pride in quality.
Are you a Christian, or anti-abortion? Because if you are, then your stock response to that question could be: “Because I’ve always wanted to work for a corporation that pumps millions of dollars into Planned Parenthood’s abortion programs.”
If you don’t give a flip, then just tell them that you like people, get on well with them, and feel you’d do their business proud.
Just tell them that you are looking for a good place to work that has a fun atmosphere. Pretty much what everyone else said. Well except the guy above me, he’s kind of a nut job.
I am the assistant manager for the Outback Steakhouse in my city. When answering this question, we look for applicants that are specifically looking to provide great customer service. Be sure to explain that you like working with people and strive to put customer service as your top priority. On the test that you will take in addition to your application, be sure to select very specific answers. On the personality portion, you want to stay on the 1s and 5s. Anything in the middle “somewhat agree/somewhat disagree” is a bad answer. We want clear and concise answers.
Do not work there. I have worked at outback for three years, and it has been a continuous nightmare. It is hard to quit because it is so convenient. It ruins lives!!!!!!!!!!!11
A great answer to a question like this is, “I enjoy working with people, and I love Outback’s atmosphere and menu”

Something about how you really enjoy working with people and really like Outback Steakhouse works.
Try to avoid the honest ‘I need a job’ answer.
