I really would like to improve my pay and I feel that these places generally offer the opportunity to make more money but would love to get some feedback, if I could.
Just to enlighten the ones that don’t know about “tipping” the busboy. The customer doesn’t specifically leave a tip for the busboy, his tip actually comes from the money you leave on the table for the server.

A certain percentage of that money (generally about 20% or so) is taken from the server and split between the busboy and possibly a host as well. That is how the busboy earns tips (he’s paid via the servers’ tips). Hope that clarifies the confusion for those wondering about the tip system.

About how much would it cost for two people to eat there? I want to take my boyfriend there, we usually order the chicken strip dinner and the cheese fries appetizer. I want to have enough money for both of our meals, and drinks, if they cost extra. I also dont want to have”just enough” money, just incase it ends up being more than expected.

So what is a good amount of money that is enough to cover the entire meal, without being just enough.

In Western, NY – we went to Outback a few months ago and they had these GREAT new glasses (instead of the mugs) – that had a rippled/layered texture. I would LOVE to be able to buy them….so if someone knows….please share!!
